OVO and Kudo Inaugurate Strategic Partnership

Integrate OVO balance on Kudo's O2O platform

OVO and Kudo today (15/8) inaugurated a strategic partnership to integrate the system. One of the realizations is that it allows users of the Kudo platform to take advantage of the balance e-money belongs to OVO. This partnership also brings 1,4 million agents in the Kudo network to the OVO platform. This is considered to be able to strengthen its position as a payment platform in Indonesia.

It is hoped that this integration will also provide benefits for Kudo with an OVO user base that has reached 60 million people. This partnership also allows Kudo to offer a wider range of digital payment services for its agents.

OVO President Director Adrian Suherman emphasized that this partnership underscores OVO's goal as a company open-platform. Namely being able to be integrated with various types of services needed by the community, anywhere.

As is known, OVO is a subsidiary of the Lippo Group which focuses on digital payment platforms. While Kudo is an agency-based payment O2O startup. The two companies also have a special relationship with Grab, OVO as a support system GrabPay and Kudo have acquired by Grab.

Kudo made its debut in 2014, helping agents (generally from warungs and SMEs) in more than 500 cities. Kudo service provides access to various types of payments, including PPOB, tickets, purchase of goods E-commerce, insurance payments to the provision of loan funds.

"This strategic collaboration with OVO marks an important milestone for Kudo in Indonesia as we seek to accelerate growth. OVO and Kudo are now able to leverage their respective expertise and partner networks to launch mobile payment services to millions more consumers and SMEs," said Kudo CEO, Albert. Lucius.

On the same occasion, OVO also announced that it would soon add QR Code capabilities, in order to expand the potential use of the service. In the future, users can access OVO Wallet QR through the OVO application and Grab. This is also a follow-up to the collaborative efforts that were previously established with multiple partners, including Alfamart and Moka.
