Re-Obtain Initial Stage Funding, Otomo "Rebranding"

Planning to launch applications, expand, and add activity services and tour packages

Luxury vehicle rental platform Automo just did rebranding become Otomo and have received additional initial stage funding, which starts since last year, valued at $145,000 (over 2 billion Rupiah) from Prestige Corp Indonesia, a Singapore-based vehicle and travel company, and a angel investors who declined to be named.

Previously, Otomo had obtained funds worth 1 billion Rupiah from SG startups and grant from Enterprise Singapore worth 300 million Rupiah. This startup hopes to be able to do further fundraising for additional capital until the end of the year.

To DailySocialOtomo Founder Charles Lin said the company plans to launch a mobile application which is currently still in the development stage. Focus is over rebranding is to launch marketing activities, increase brand awareness, while embracing more partners.

"We have also completed the registration process for PT Automo Teknologi Indonesia rebranding We are a preparation that will later make Otomo a global corporate identity," said Charles.

Expanding service area

Currently otomo already present in a number of major cities in Indonesia, including Jakarta, Surabaya, and Medan. With this new funding, the company intends to expand its service area and add team members to accelerate business.

To provide better service, Otomo has started to introduce vehicle rentals with longer terms. The company has also begun to increase the choice of vehicles, not only cars, but also minibuses and large buses that can be used by corporate consumers.

"Other services that we are trying to present are activities and tour options related to automotive, such as the Komodo Island package by using a yacht or boat, or a tour guide to Bali by car," said Charles.
