Moladin Online Motorcycle Platform Gets An Injection Of 17 Billion Rupiah

The plan will be used to develop Moladin's business throughout Indonesia

Online platform engaged in the motorcycle sector, Moladin announced that it had received an injection of fresh funds of $1,2 million or around Rp. 17,1 billion from East Ventures, Berjaya Group, and Ethos Partners.

Currently motorcycle purchase service Moladin can only be enjoyed by those who live in the Greater Jakarta area, Banten, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Solo and Semarang. The fresh funds obtained are planned to be used to expand the coverage area to other regions in Indonesia.

Moladin is an online platform that specializes in dealing with all kinds of motorcycles. Not only serving the purchase of motorcycles, Moladin also serves the purchase of apparel, spare parts, information on workshops, and forums that discuss motorcycles.

Launched in November 2017, Moladin founded by Jovin Hoon and Mario Tanamas has partnered with more than 40 Dealer and some companies lease big in Indonesia. Moladin claims to experience 20-30% sales growth per month with a total transaction value of more than $1 million.

Moladin Co-Founder Jovin Hoon explained, prior to Moladin buying a conventional motorcycle took time and was quite complicated. The average consumer has to make two to three visits to the dealer to get the desired motorbike before deciding to buy. Not to mention payment transactions, registration plate numbers that take time. That is why Moladin as an online platform is claimed to be well received by the public.

"Our rapid growth shows strong validation of what we are building. We are very excited about our journey ahead to continue to develop Moladin," continued Jovin.

Managing Partner East Ventures Willson Cuaca revealed that what Moladin did was streamline the process of buying a motorcycle in collaboration with a network of dealers and investors. Potential buyers do not have to travel the distance and wait long to buy a motorcycle.

"We see how Moladin's sales volume in May 2018 has tripled since the beginning of January. This shows the increasing customer confidence in buying motorcycles through Moladin. There is still a lot of room for growth in the motorcycle industry. We believe that their business model will continue to grow. dominate the market with more and more people who feel comfortable buying motorcycles digitally," added Willson.
