One Year of Operation, Lamudi Indonesia Shows Up To 700 Percent Growth in the Number of Property Listings

Precisely on April 24, Lamudi Global decided to expand the market to Indonesia. Under the leadership of Karan Khetan and Steven Ghoos in Indonesia, Lamudi experienced 700 percent growth in numbers listing property over the past year. Founded in Berlin by Kian Moini and Paul Philipp Herman, the global property portal Lamudi actually focuses on emerging markets such as Indonesia. Even when it officially entered the Indonesian market a year ago, this startup fronted by Rocket Internet immediately had the ambition to become a startup marketplace number one property in Indonesia in the first six months of operation. To make this happen, Karan Khetan and Steven Ghoos were entrusted to lead Lamudi Indonesia's operations. After a year of operation, Lamudi Indonesia has grown from two employees in a shared office, to a company with more than 50 employees in four major cities in Indonesia.

Through his press statement, Managing Director of Lamudi Indonesia Steven Ghoos said, "The property market in Indonesia, with its large middle class tech-savvy, has the potential to become one of the largest marketplaces for online. It's time for a more efficient and transparent way to search for properties, such as the one on our portal."

Lamudi Indonesia also experienced good growth in the number of property listings, which was up to 700 percent. Now they have more than 210 thousand property listings from 246 cities in Indonesia for sale or rent on their platform. They are able double number of listings in platform his in less than six months. In addition, more than 5000 property agents have become Lamudi Indonesia's partners, including several top property agencies such as LJ Hooker, Harcourts, Ray White, Century21, Keller Williams, and Pro/Max.

To strengthen its position in Indonesia, Lamudi Indonesia has also opened four representative offices in major cities in Indonesia, namely Jakarta, Bandung, Bali, and Surabaya. The office in Surabaya itself can be said to act as a hub to dominate the market in eastern Indonesia. In addition, Lamudi Indonesia also has a mobile application that runs on the platform Android and iOS which was launched last year.

Recently, Lamudi Indonesia has also launched the "Dial 4 Home" feature to make it easier for property seekers who have limited internet access. This service makes it easier for users in the home search process and provides home seekers through offline access to Lamudi property listing database by contacting Lamudi hotline.

In line with Lamudi Indonesia's mission to educate the market, now Lamudi Indonesia has also published its first quarterly magazine called "Property Now". The magazine is available in offline and online formats, and can be obtained at coffee shop or by downloading it via SCOOP or Google Books.

Indonesian Lamudi too planned to be able to go "head to head" with existing players in this segment in terms of listings and traffic. It also seeks to expand its territory by reaching more cities in Indonesia throughout 2015.
