Olaf Van Schagen Becomes New CEO of OLX Indonesia

Previously worked a lot in the European digital industry

OLX Indonesia officially announced Olaf Van Schagen as its new CEO. Olaf's experience in the last 18 years in the digital industry has become a valuable asset to lead OLX Indonesia and compete in the increasingly fierce Indonesian e-commerce industry.

"Indonesia is a country with an attractive and prominent e-commerce landscape in Asia. Therefore, it is an honor for me to be trusted to lead the largest classifieds platform in the country," said Olaf in response to his appointment as the new CEO of OLX Indonesia.

Olaf will replace Robin Voogd, Regional CEO of OLX Asia, who temporarily became CEO of OLX Indonesia following the resignation of Daniel Tumiwa. Last May, Daniel decided to step down as CEO of OLX Indonesia and become Strategic Advisor of OLX Indonesia.

For the last eleven years OLX Indonesia has become a part of the online buying and selling industry in Indonesia. From internal OLX data, there are 23 million active users every month, indicating public interest in this classifieds platform. In addition, OLX also provides added value for users by ensuring that sellers and buyers meet in a mutually beneficial transaction.

Welcoming the announcement of the new CEO of OLX Indonesia, Robin Voogd said, "OLX Indonesia is synonymous with the classifieds platform in this country. With so much experience, a diverse portfolio, and the foresight to see opportunities in business, I believe Olaf's leadership will further strengthen OLX's position. as the leader of online classifieds, in Indonesia."
