Officially present in Indonesia, BookMyShow Launches Android and iOS Mobile Application

BookMyShow, an Indian startup that provides cinema ticket sales and services event, yesterday (1/6) officially announced its presence in Indonesia. Simultaneously, BookMyShow also launched an app mobile devices them for platform Android and iOS. BookMyShow claims that it has partnered with four major Indonesian cinema chains with a total of 200 cinema screen partnerships throughout Indonesia.

BookMyShow actually has expand to Southeast Asia, especially Indonesia, since the end of 2015. BookMyShow Indonesia Co-Founder and Managing Director Sudhir Syal said, “We want to make entertainment more accessible in Indonesia, this is our hope. Not only cinema, but also music events, sports and attractions for families.”

BookMyShow Indonesia Co-Founder Karan Khetan added, “Indonesia is a prospective market for us due to internet penetration and usage mobile devices tall one. […] We want to be a partner for [cinema] businesses to help increase their ticket sales, not compete.”

Downloadable Android mobile app and iOS coming soon

Along with the introduction of its services to the public which took place last Wednesday at CGV Blitz, Grand Indonesia, Jakarta, BookMyshow also announced the availability of the application. mobile devices them for the Indonesian market. This application can be downloaded and installed for platform Android, while iOS is still in the coming soon status.

In addition to Indonesia, BookMyShow has also operated in India, the United Arab Emirates, and New Zealand. BookMyshow claims to have now grossed $200 million and raised more than $50 million in total funding from Accel Ventures.
