In addition to Nebeng Services, the Noompang Application Facilitates Intercity Food Delivery

Optimizing seats or as empty to cut and optimize transportation costs

Starting from nebeng services for students who travel from Jakarta to Bandung, Noompang trying to explore its business potential. Currently they are running a service car-pooling and food delivery intercity that allows users to optimize empty seats and luggage.

"We officially operated in June 2018. Currently we serve the Jabodetabek, Bandung, and Jatinagor areas with more than 10 thousand registered users. For food delivery We are also active in the area," said CMO Noompang Afra Sausan.

Noompang's concept of a ride is similar to Ompreng, Tebegan, even GrabHitch.

Noompang was founded by Mirsa Sadikin, Dafi Adinegoro, and Valdi Rachman. The three of them together with the team were supported by initial funding from one of the startup accelerators in Indonesia. Their initial idea was to try to offer a service that could turn empty seats and luggage into something profitable.

"As long as Noompang operates, we receive feedback positive from users. Many requests from users to expand our market so that they get even more unidirectional friends. They also have a need to reduce their daily transportation costs. The Noompang Intercity Food Delivery service is also expected to assist our drivers in reducing transportation costs through their empty luggage filled with food from outside the city," added Afra.

Maintain user trust

For now, Noompang has several features that users can take advantage of, such as "Group Chat" to communicate between the driver and passengers, the "Routine" feature to find out the routine travel schedule, the "Identity Verification" feature to maintain and improve security (verification using identity such as SIM and KTP) and the "Rate and Review" feature to provide comments and ratings for the trips they take.

Noompang understands very well that its services can grow and develop thanks to the trust of users which must be maintained. The efforts taken, among others, are that each driver and passenger are required to upload their own personal data to be verified by the Noompang team.

To ensure drivers and passengers safely reach their destination, they are enabled to do background checking each to profile reviews from other users.

"Building user trust is currently our priority. We take many initiatives, in the form of features that are in the application to outside the application, such as providing education about the proper and correct use of Noompang to drivers and passengers," explained Afra.

For this year Noompang will focus on the areas already served while continuing to strive to provide new routes and new products. One of them is perfecting the product food delivery with the hope of removing the restrictions to taste the culinary archipelago.
