Nexticorn 2022 will Raise Web3 as a Featured Topic

One of the focuses of the NXC International Summit 2022 (Nexticorn) is the discussion and deeper understanding of the potential of technology Web3 and its derivatives. It is hoped that by inviting experts from local to foreign countries, they can explain more deeply and provide a more comprehensive picture of the startup ecosystem in Indonesia.

At the event Founders Meetup & Kickoff which was held virtual last Wednesday (18/5), Nexticorn Foundation Chairman Rudiantara explained, the topic of web3 became interesting to follow. This is seen by the increasing number of opportunities and potential for startups to start developing and implementing these technologies into their products.

"NXC was created from the start with the aim of giving birth to startups unicorn next in Indonesia. This year with the same goal and mission, it is hoped that startups can be reborn unicorn. Bali then became the ideal place for NXC to be the location for the 2022 NXC International Summit," said Rudiantara.

Meanwhile, according to Edward Ismawan Chamdani who is one of the Nexticorn Committee and also Co-Founder & Managing Director Gayo Capital  added, web3 is an interesting sector to be thoroughly discussed in this year's event.

In addition to many that can be used, ranging from blockchain, NFT, metaverse, AR/VR, DAO, and so on, it's important for startups and venture capitalists to understand how to properly adopt these technologies. According to him, web3 is the future, enabling humans and machines to interact with data, values, and other related parties.

Sharing experiences at Nexticorn acara

There are many benefits that have been obtained by startup founders who have participated in the Nexticorn event in the previous year. In addition to the opportunity to meet face-to-face with venture capitalists, they have also succeeded in establishing strategic collaborations with fellow startups to get clients.

In this case according to Co-Founder & CEO investree Adrian Gunadi, who participated in the 2018 and 2019 Nexticorn events, curated startups that participated in these activities as well as selected VCs, became more points for him to be able to communicate directly. Judging from his experience before the pandemic participated in this activity, 2022 is expected to be an opportunity for reunions and reunions with fellow startup activists in Indonesia.

"In terms of collaboration, this is the right event to meet with many friends. Not only do fundraising, but also can establish strategic collaborations with other startups," said Adrian.

Meanwhile, according to Founder & CEO Ralali Joseph Aditya, his experience while participating in Nexticorn activities in 2018-2019, became the right place to meet the right VC. Because previously complete information and the interests and backgrounds of each VC had been presented, as well as the startups who were present, made the meeting appropriate and relevant.

"In my opinion, the Nexticorn event is the most efficient event. The follow-up after the event is not only an opportunity to raise funds, but also to meet potential partners, even though the activity is carried out formally but still relaxed," said Joseph.

For Founders & CEOs Jojonomics Indrasto Budisantoso, his presence at the previous Nexticorn event was an opportunity for him to meet suitable investors. By participating in the Nexticorn event, Indrasto also claimed to be able to meet potential lead clients as well as being able to collaborate with other startup activists.

The NXC International Summit 2022 will return to Bali in August-September 2022. Carrying the theme "Decentralizing The Future of the Internet", this time the event will prioritize "experience" of the country's technological ecosystem for the participants.
