Net1 Indonesia and INTI Synergize 450MHz Frequency Accommodation to Strengthen IoT Development

Also will integrate the products of the two companies for TKDN needs

PT Sampoerna Telekomunikasi Indonesia (STI) and PT Industri Telekomunikasi Indonesia (INTI) agreed on the realization of the vision to produce telecommunications equipment that can accommodate the 450MHz frequency. This connectivity is considered to be one of the important components – apart from sensors and actuators and people and processes—to encourage the development of the Internet of Things (IoT) era

STI, with trademark Net1 Indonesia, seeks to explore cooperation with a number of parties who have experience in the telecommunications sector. INTI is considered a company that has the same vision as well as the capability to develop telecommunications devices that match the needs of STI.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two parties will be represented by Larry Ridwan as CEO of STI and Darman Mappangara as CEO of PT INTI.

"We believe this MoU will bring businessOpportunity which is increasingly promising for Net1 Indonesia and PT INTI. The collaboration is also expected to have a positive impact in order to facilitate and encourage the growth of IoT-based businesses in urban and rural environments," said Larry.

In this collaboration, PT INTI will produce devices that support the 450MHz frequency which will be marketed in its business after being integrated with Net1 Indonesia services. The device in question is a device that has been marketed as well as in the future.

Another consideration is the ability of INTI to meet the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) set by the government. In accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Information, until January 2017, the TKDN that must be fulfilled by Vendors Making Telecommunication Equipment and Equipment is 20% for Subscriber Stations (SS) and 30% for Base Stations (BS).

"We are proud to be trusted by Sampoerna Telekomunikasi Indonesia to produce 4G LTE devices that support the 450Mhz frequency for Net1 services, this collaboration is a big step to encourage the development of the IoT ecosystem in Indonesia so that it can advance the domestic industry as a whole." welcome Darman.
