Maxi Pockets Pre-Early Funding, Presents "Mental Wellbeing" Services for Professional Workers

Provider startup employee assistance platform Maxi pocketed pre-start funding (pre seed) with an undisclosed amount. This round was injected by Modalku Co-founder Iwan Kurniawan, Javas Venture General Partner Alexander Sie To, WeNetwork Founder Antonia Mazza, and LingoAce Country Manager Emili Nirmala.

Maxi was founded by Julia Erica and Hariadi Tjandra in March 2022. Its mission is to democratize services mental well-being and productivity of professional workers through employee wellbeing program with a target market in Southeast Asia. Several companies that have used Maxi include EVOS, Bank Sampoerna, Keyta, and Amanco.

Contacted by DailySocial.id, Maxi co-founder Julia Erica believes that the market acceptance in Southeast Asia of the product employee assistance platform ready because it can be adapted to their needs.

Compiled from its official website, Maxi noted that 35% of unhappy employees are potentially unproductive in their work and 64% of stressed workers have the potential to take sick leave. In addition, employees who ignore mental well-being can have an impact on turnover high company. As many as 4 out of 10 employees resign because of stress.

He also added that this funding will be used for application development and customer acquisition so that it can reach product-market fit. "Currently we focus on B2B, while B2C [acquisition] organically," he added.

Maxi takes a unique approach by using anonymity for its users. They can connect with each other, providing feedback, and share activities. "It means, user identity and activities in the application made anonymously from the public and the company. That way, users feel comfortable to share in community forums," said Julia.

Furthermore, Maxi offers a number of features ranging from mood tracker, discussion forums, to self-assessment. There's also dashboards which serves to manage well-being program employees and produce insight deep. The model is subscription based (subscription), but users can enjoy the service for free in the first two months.

For your information, this is the second time Co-founder my capital involved in initial funding on the platform mental wellness for workers. Previously, three Modalku Co-founders, namely Reynold Wijaya, Kelvin Teo, Koh Meng Wong participated in the funding Ami startup.

Ami's mission is to make it easier to access mental health care for employees who experience stress at work. Ami uses the employee match model with coach to consult via WhatsApp, without the need to make an appointment. This strategy is considered to facilitate access and increase user convenience such as talking to friends.

Ami's co-founder Justin Kim said he was optimistic about Ami's presence in Indonesia. This is because Indonesia's rapid economic growth has the potential to trigger increased stress in some workplaces. Meanwhile, workers in Asia are the most stressed workers in the world with poor access to stress management resources.
