Adiperkasa Partners (MAP) More Seriously Treading E-commerce Business This Year

One of the largest retail companies in Indonesia, PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAP), this year will take the e-commerce business more seriously. MAP is planned to enter the e-commerce business soon with several lifestyle products which will start operating in the second half of this year.

Last year, cooperate with e-commerce enablers aCommerce, MAP provides Planet Sports online. The collaboration involves aCommerce in all activities fulfillment Planet Sports e-commerce, which consists of customer service, inventory management, warehousing, order management and packaging.

Entering the middle of 2015 it is rumored that MAP will be more serious in treading the e-commerce business. Be delivered by MAP's Corporate Secretary Fetty Kwartati, her party has designed an online business that provides lifestyle products that will start operating in the second half of this year.

"The online business designed by the company for lifestyle products is planned to start operating in the second half of 2015," explained Fetty.

MAP's step to be more serious in the e-commerce sector is inseparable from the decline in the revenue they achieved in the first quarter of 2015.

"Macroeconomic conditions have affected the company's business. Apart from the impact on achieving net profit, we remain focused on the company's strategy to be able to achieve long-term growth," said Fetty.

Fetty further explained that giving more focus to the e-commerce sector is one of MAP's strategies to achieve long-term growth targets.

He said, “We have invested by strengthening the company's foundation and through new growth opportunities, including e-commerce and CRM programs.

"We hope that this initiative along with other e-Commerce initiatives will turn MAP into a leading omni-channel retailer in Indonesia," said Fetty.
