SaaS startup focused on email marketing automation MailTarget announced two undisclosed funding rounds in 2017. The first was from Azure Ventures, while the second was from an unnamed angel investor. "We need this funding to develop our Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams; and life purpose us, namely 'digitizing Indonesia', which means there will be a large portion of education for Indonesian SMEs."

MailTarget, which was founded at the end of 2016 by Yopie Suryadi, Masas Dani, and Johan Tahardi, is claimed to be in a good growth phase. To DailySocial, MailTarget CEO Yopie Suryadi said they have 730 paid clients and are able to finance operations from their income.

Azure Ventures is arguably still new to the Indonesian startup industry. Although they did not mention the amount of funds under management, they confirmed that they are currently focusing on investing in the SaaS sector.

Azure Ventures Managing Partner Felix Setyomulyono regarding this funding said, "SaaS startups will rise in the next 1 or 2 years in Indonesia because they solve problems business process which means to make impact in company performance."
