80 companies have used it with 1.700 connected fleet units

The logistics industry still has many challenges in welcoming the acceleration of industry 4.0. Lacak.io tries to answer these challenges with the products they provide.

Co-Founder and CCO of Lacak.io Danny Chiang explained, his business provides solutions for small and medium logistics companies in Indonesia to be able to scale-up, transforming a systemless traditional fleet into a digitally connected fleet.

Track.io allows management to get the best visibility of actionabledate fleet such as load temperature sensor data, engine temperature, fuel level and driving style; fleet performance data whether it has been maximally utilized or not; data on the number of deliveries whether on time or not.

Also managed is fleet maintenance data that is carried out on time or not. This data is considered important to keep the fleet in top condition considering that the vehicle fleet is the main engine of money-making for logistics companies.

"Besides getting data visibility The best thing is that with their digitally connected fleet, their business opportunities to work with large corporations will also be wider," Danny explained to DailySocial.

Track.io bisnis business model

In presenting its services, Track.io uses technology web interface for monitoring with features such as visibility of location data, reports, notifications, fleet utility, number of deliveries, maintenance schedules, and evaluation of riding style.

To support the field team that relies more on smartphone, it provides practical monitoring with the Track Live application. Basically, this app converts smartphone the driver becomes a GPS tracker. Other field teams such as couriers, sales, drivers, or engineer which does not allow to use a GPS tracking device, Lacak.io provides a Track Mobile application.

The application allows the location of the field team and their work status to be monitored by the company. Not only that, the field team can send messages with the company team from the application.

"For example, they can view today's assignments anywhere and report work results using electronic forms, digital signatures and upload images that are already available on Track Mobile."

According to him, the product offered is the answer to the solution that is actually needed by logistics companies. Most fleet management products only offer location monitoring with no data to translate to make a business decision.

In running its business, Track.io establishes a monetization system based on membership per device. There are three types of membership from enterprise, professional, and basic with costs varying from Rp. 6,1 million to enterprise in the first year only and so Rp2 million in the following year.

Judging from the number of fleets that are actively connected to the Track.io system, there are around 1.700 units with a growth of 376%.

The company wants to increase this achievement many times this year. The connected fleet can reach 4 thousand and connect 25 thousand goods vehicles, equivalent to 0,32% of the total registered goods vehicles in Indonesia.

To achieve this, Lacak.io is developing a service that is more focused on visualizing images and videos so that not only vehicle data can be seen, but also the surrounding environment. There will also be a Driver Status Monitoring System to send notifications when a driver is detecteddistracted by smartphone, smoking, calling, or fatigue.

Next, the team is preparing an Advance Driver Assistance System that allows two seconds of early detection for driver thereby minimizing the accident rate from a rear collision.

The company is seeking external funding to expand its Track.io business by IDR 6 billion this year. Danny admitted that it is still in process pitching to investors.

"The very first round has actually been since 2016 when it took shape convertible notes from friend. If it's really external, this is the first time."

As much as 60% of the funds will later be used to encourage marketing and open representative offices in several provinces such as Java, Bali, Makassar, and Medan. The rest is for technology development, services, and operational team development.
