Hijup Acquires UK's Largest "Modest Fashion" Marketplace Haute-Elan

Muslim fashion marketplace Hijup announced a surprising move on the sidelines of the 2018 London Modest Fashion Week. It has acquired Haute-Elan, the UK's largest marketplace platform for modest fashion, with an unspecified value. After this acquisition, they will launch Hijup UK Limited which will be Hijup .'s first step go global.

It's been quite a while alive did not show its renewal in the media, after obtaining funding in 2015. The service founded by Diajeng Lestari kicked off in early 2018 with the acquisition of Haute Elan. It is said that this transaction was facilitated by Aidijuma Colors Group based in Malaysia. These three companies were founded by female founders.

We still haven't received any comment from Hijup on why it chose Great Britain and Haute-Elan as its acquisition targets.

Haute-Elan will receive logistical, operational, technical support, strategic advice and best practice of how Hijup successfully operates and survives in Indonesia. They will target the fashion market modest and global Islam which is estimated to be worth $230 billion.

Haute-Elan founder and CEO Romanna Binti Abubaker said in a release, "Working together is the only way for us to achieve our shared vision of becoming the world's largest online marketplace and creating opportunity and change. I'm very excited about the future we will create. with our own resources, skills and experience."

Co-Founder and CEO Hijup Diajeng Lestari added, "The revival of hijab fashion is a phenomenon of awakening the identity of Muslim women. It is hoped that with this big step we can have a positive impact on society. We hope to not only bring fashion that 'looks good', but also a good atmosphere.
