Line Indonesia Launches "Splitbill" Feature, Makes It Easy for Users to Share Bills

Line Indonesia released its newest innovation "Line Splitbill". A feature that allows users to calculate and split bills. This feature was developed using OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology making it possible to scan and calculate bills automatically. Claimed to be the first calculation and billing feature in Indonesia that uses OCR technology.

Managing Director of Line Indonesia Dale Kim explained, the launch of this new feature is a tangible form of Line Indonesia to continue to innovate to provide various services to help its loyal users.

"We hope that the presence of the Line Splitbill feature can simplify and enrich the daily lives of loyal users in Indonesia," explained Dale Kim.

Meanwhile Strategy and New Business Director Indonesian Lines Fanny Verona said that this innovation is the answer to the needs of the Indonesian people who like to gather, eat together, and pay together to share bills. The use of OCR technology also allows calculations to be accurate

"Line Splitbill is suitable for use by the Indonesian people because it can answer the needs of people who like to gather and eat together and divide bills among them. In addition, the planting of OCR technology in the Line Splitbill feature allows users to get high-accuracy calculation results with a very easy calculation process. ," added Fanny.

To use this feature the user only needs to select the "Line Splitbill" menu in the menu in the conversation room. Furthermore, users can scan bills directly from the camera or take pictures of bills from within their mobile gallery. Then the user can choose the friends to share the bill with.
