Our Language Launches Automatic Transcription Technology

It has been implemented to make a transcript in the 2019 presidential debate

Our Language is a built startup UMG Idealab which focuses on developing natural language and speech processing technology products -- commonly called Natural Language Processing (NLP). Recently, they have introduced a new innovation, namely automatic transcription technology.

Leveraging its proprietary NLP technology, Bahasa Kita has tested its latest innovation for transcribing conversations in 2019 presidential debate some time ago real-time. From the transcripts obtained, they also present analytical data from the conversation.

To DailySocial VP Product Bahasa Kita Ardhi Ma'arik revealed, the transcription process starts from recording speech, then the captured voice will be directly sent to the engine Our Language transcript. Engine will then perform processing that generates the text, then sent back to device recorder by real-time.

"In general, the transcription process real-time the same for every speech engine, but what sets it apart is accuracy, speed, and the domains covered," said Ardhi.

Speaking (using voice) is the most natural tool that most humans use to communicate. Voice technology is at the forefront of acquiring information. When voice information is translated into text, then it will be easier to extract information to find out the intent and purpose of someone's words on the computer.

In addition, from voice data, identification of a person's personal information can be made. Starting from a person's origin (through his dialect), estimating a person's age without asking, analyzing a person's health from the color of his voice, and so on.

Our Language Plan in 2019

In addition to launching "meeting minutes" which have the ability to change the voice of the speaker to writing, this year Our Language has also released a -based transcription tool mobile devices. Bahasa Kita also still has a target to be the best company for voice detection technology in Indonesia.

"Some of the ways we are trying to do that is increasing accuracy engine, tocover regional languages in Indonesia and so on. We also want to develop various kinds of sound products and their derivatives, for example, smart speaker including the synthesis of text into sound," concluded Ardhi.
