Commonwealth Bank Indonesia Soon to Present Online KTA Service

It will be equipped with a Tyme Digital Kiosk machine for the finalization process

Commonwealth Bank Indonesia immediately prepares online KTA services to complement retail and SME products as its new focus for the past two years. The product is expected to be released to the public in June.

Commonwealth Bank President Director Lauren Sulistiawati said that the online KTA that the company will soon launch is a form of company commitment that is starting to transform to digital. Also overhauled the business structure to focus on retail and SME, reducing the portion of the corporate business since last year.

"personal loan or KTA that we offer is a solution whose process full online, approvalhis real-time, can be done at home," explained Lauren, yesterday (30/5).

EVP Head of Corporate Strategy & Digital Solutions Commonwealth Bank Rian Eriana Kaslan added that the difference between the online KTA offered by the company and elsewhere is the customer experience. Customers will have excellent service full online and real-time.

For an overview of the submission process, prospective customers only need to fill in data information from the Commonwealth Bank website. Next, they create an account for disbursement of funds via the nearest Tyme Digital Kiosk from their location for 10 minutes. When the account has been created, the loan funds will be disbursed at that time.

"What we offer is a process that is not yet in the market so that this can be an attraction for potential customers to get a different experience. We are ready to launch it to the market," said Rian.

Later online KTA from the company will open a loan without collateral with a minimum loan starting from Rp. 10 million. Targeting potential customers from among emerging affluent (middle economy) like workers fresh graduates who want to get married and so on. It's just that related to the amount of interest, Rian is not willing to disclose it. He reasoned that the internal team was still working on it.

"Online KTA will be our digital product. What we care about is what makes it difficult for people to take loans, because so far many people are still underserved. Taking a loan as long as it is done in a healthy manner, it's not something bad for either the bank or the customer."

Rian continued that since Tyme Digital Kiosk was inaugurated in August 2017, it is now available in 85 locations that are easily accessible to potential customers, such as in Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, Palembang, and Medan. Around 60 of these units are in Jabodetabek, and the rest are outside Jabodetabek.

It is targeted that by the middle of this year the number could be 100 units by expanding to new locations in Yogyakarta and Denpasar.

For this reason, the company will continue to work closely with various partners to present Tyme Digital Kiosks in supermarkets, restaurants, shopping centers, and various other public places to reach more consumers. And make it easier for them to access banking products and loans provided by the Commonwealth Bank.

"This year we are still calculating how many more Tyme Digital we want to introduce, but what is certain is that the location will be where our branch office is located."

Although he could not give an exact count, Rian saw that in a rough count there were tens of thousands of new customers who had been successfully acquired through Tyme Digital. All of them are active customers in transactions. Its growth reached 3 times from before and after the existence of Tyme Digital. In total, Commonwealth Bank now has 300 thousand customers throughout Indonesia.
