Kioson Forms a Special Joint Venture for Procurement “GudangPintar”

Collaboration with Keeppack.id; Kioson owns 70% stake in GudangPintar

kiosk, a company focused on developing MSMEs and grocery stores, announced the establishment of a joint venture specialized in procurement (fulfillment center) GudangPintar.id in order to accelerate MSME business in Indonesia. Keeppack.id is the partner that Kioson invited to establish GudangPintar.

In the disclosure of information on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Kioson deposited a capital of Rp700 million or 700 shares with 70% ownership of shares of the total paid-up capital of PT Gudang Pintar Indonesia (GPI).

GudangPintar is expected to increase efficiency in the logistics sector, especially in the provision of services fulfillment center. It will complement the Kioson digital retail ecosystem, which currently has more than 80 thousand retail outlets registered on the Kioson network.

“[..] We are together with keeppack.id launch service fulfillment center Smart Warehouse. This service is expected to be able to provide efficiency in terms of logistics for the procurement of merchandise stocks for our retail partners, most of whom are MSMEs," said Kioson President Director Reginald Trisna in an official statement, Wednesday (5/5).

Referring to the CLSA research entitled “E-warung Indonesia's New Digital Battleground” conveyed that 3 million grocery stalls contributed almost 80 percent to the Indonesian retail market. However, around 80% or 2,5 million stalls fall into the category underserved. In responding to these challenges, every 1 fulfillment center GudangPintar can help accelerate distribution and efficiency of logistics costs for around 2 thousand stalls and grocery stores around the location.

GudangPintar has a WMS (Warehouse Management System) system that is integrated with logistics principals and partners. Process fulfillment simply starting from the fulfillment of processes in the logistics ecosystem, from sorting goods, packaging, to delivery via courier expeditions. In this case, GudangPintar will maximize the logistics process for the stall partners managed by Kioson when procuring merchandise stock.

Reginald targets that this year GudangPintar has a target of building more than 1000 units fulfillment center to serve 2 million MSME stalls. "We hope that GudangPintar's synergy with the Kioson ecosystem will be able to provide maximum efficiency to the MSME business of Kioson's retail partners in terms of logistics and procurement of merchandise stocks," he concluded.

Kioson also enlivens companies that are engaged in procurement services for a more efficient logistics process. This warehousing solution is also carried out by other companies, some of which come from logistics players, E-commerceand e-commerce enablers.
