Jovee Supplement Provider Application Comes to Enliven the Healthtech Market

Jovee relies on "data science" in providing supplement recommendations as needed

Happen health tech Indonesia is back with the arrival of a new player, Jovee. Through PT Indopacific Teknologi Medika Indonesia (ITMI), Jovee is present as a platform for providing supplement needs for millennial users.

Co-Founder and CEO Jovee Natali Ardianto said that his party has a mission to build health literacy for millennial users who are in the age range of 23-38 years. To understand their health needs, Jovee prioritizes product personalization.

According to him, the whole world has not yet achieved a good standard of consumption. In addition, there are still many who are not aware that their nutritional needs have not been fulfilled. Citing the 2017 Global Burden of Disease Study, Natali said unhealthy consumption contributes to 22 percent of deaths in the world.

“For that, we rely on data science in providing supplement recommendations to users. Going forward, we want to rely on data science Karena goal we want to be top of mind supplement provider in the future," he said when met at the launch of the Jovee application, Thursday (14/11/19).

For Android users, the Jovee application can already be downloaded on Google Play, while the iOS version will be available in the near future.

In getting recommendations as needed, users at the beginning of logging into the application will be asked for 20-30 questions related to concern health and disease records.

After that, the algorithm will process the data to find out the supplements needed. Not only data-based, personalizing the need for this supplement is also strengthened by the recommendations of five pharmacists currently owned by Jovee.

"We want to find traction before. If there are many [users], we will increase the number of pharmacists," said Natali, who is also the former Co-founder and CTO of Tiket.com.

Different from players healthtech Another who focuses as an aggregator, Co-founder and CCO Jovee Abi Dwiaji Wicahyo revealed that Jovee has a different position. According to him, Jovee has its own pharmacy to maintain quality and safety, as well as its own product supplier partners.

ITMI is a subsidiary of PT Indopasifik Medika Investama. This parent company has several business units that can strengthen Jovee's business going forward, namely the Pharmaplus pharmacy network, Primecare clinics, and the Homecare24 nurse and elderly liaison application.

Furthermore, his party is currently partnering with logistics companies to support shipments throughout Indonesia. Regarding payment methods, Jovee is not yet supported by digital payments such as OVO, GoPay, LinkAja, and DANA.

"However, we are open to cooperation with them [digital payment providers]," he added.
