JobStreet was founded by Malaysian entrepreneur Mark Chang Mun Kee in 1997, with a focus on the local job market. In 2014, JobStreet grew significantly and was acquired by Australian company SEEK (SEK (ASX). Under the name JobStreet by SEEK, this acquisition has helped the company expand its reach and establish a presence in Singapore, the Philippines and Indonesia.

Focus on feature and technology development
After being acquired by SEEK, the company has undergone quite a massive transformation. One of them is, the transformation of the local organizational mindset towards a global winning mindset through the adoption of global practices, such as Fair Hiring, Modern Slavery compliance, Climate Change Network until upgrade skill from the team through training and calibration enhancements.
