Karir.com Job Search Service Introduces Salary Benchmark Feature

Pioneer of online career portal in Indonesia, career.com, today (4/11) officially introduced its newest feature called Salary Benchmark. The Salary Benchmark feature is here in collaboration with Kelly Services Indonesia, recruitment company and headhunter  from the United States. Basically, Salary Benchmark is a salary comparison feature that allows potential applicants to know the salary in the market for each level of position and the same industry.

Competition for jobs today is getting tougher. In addition to a clear career path, another factor that is considered by job seekers is the amount of remuneration provided by the company. Based on this background, Karir.com collaborates with Kelly Services Indonesia, which regularly publishes Indonesia's annual salary guide, to launch the Salary Benchmark feature.

Karir.com CEO Dino Martin said, “With this feature, before applying to a company, someone already has a target for how much salary they will apply for. If all this time they were often confused and just playing guessing games, now they know a better picture.”

Basically, the Salary Benchmark feature is a feature that can compare the amount of salary in the market for each level of the position and the same industry by taking into account the length of career time in the relevant industry. In addition to information, job seekers will also get Career Tips based on the results of their salary calculations.

Karir.com Product Manager Ratih Pulkeria explained, to use this feature, users must first have a profile or account on Karir.com. Before being able to compare salaries in the market, users will also be asked to complete various data, such as personal data, industry, job function, position level, and length of career. One account or user is only given the opportunity to use this feature once every six months.

Ratih said, “This information is needed […] to calculate how a person's salary position in the market or in other words match user information with we. […] We [also] assume that performance reviews in the company is done every six months at the earliest, so even salaries will only change as soon as six months later.”

Previously, the pioneer of job vacancies in Indonesia has launched a management trainee program for Generation Z called MT Academy. Currently, Karir.com itself is under the auspices of the EMTEK Group after secretly acquired.
