Jet Commerce's "E-Commerce Enabler" Service Announces Expansion Plans to Malaysia and the Philippines

Already operating business in Thailand and Vietnam, has 20 global brand partners and is supported by one warehouse in Daan Mogot, West Jakarta

Jet Commerce is ready to expand its coverage to two new countries, namely Malaysia and the Philippines, next year in line with realizing its ambition as a leading "e-commerce enabler" player in the region. The company has been operating its business in Thailand and Vietnam recently. There is already a local team stationed in the country to develop the business.

Jet Commerce CEO Oliver Yang said, Thailand and Vietnam were the first two countries to be visited because the two countries have similar conditions to Indonesia. In addition, there is demand from global brand partners who want the company's presence in the country.

"Jet Commerce wants to be a leading player in the region, we have prepared a number of plans. Later in each country, we will deal with 'e-commerce enabler' solutions faced by brands for consumer satisfaction," Oliver explained to DailySocial.

However, Oliver is reluctant to reveal the investment that is prepared to launch his entire expansion strategy.

Jet Commerce first appeared in Indonesia last year under the name J&T Alibaba, then rebranding with its current name since September 2017 coincided with the start of a new product, namely e-commerce enablers. Jet Commerce started its business as an official partner of Alibaba.com in Indonesia connecting local sellers with international buyers from all over the world.

In this business model, Jet Commerce attracts export-ready SME partners to market their products through Alibaba.com. They also hold regular workshops to help SMEs understand how to use the Alibaba.com platform. However, Jet Commerce did not participate in the purchase agreement as it was completely off-platform.

"For this product, we only educate SME partners to understand using the Alibaba.com platform because generally there is a limitation in mastering English. deal We don't interfere with international buyers because Alibaba.com is a B2B platform so the process is off-platform."

There are approximately 400 SME partners throughout Indonesia who have joined the Alibaba.com B2B platform.

Similar to Alibaba concept

Concept e-commerce enablers This, according to Oliver, was inspired by what Alibaba did in building an ecosystem in each of its business units. One of them is Tmall, a B2C e-commerce retail platform. In its business model, Tmall as an open platform provides the infrastructure to help brands operate their digital storefronts.

Brands can design the desired storefront design layout, system integration, product marketing, pre-sales service, inventory and warehousing management, to process incoming orders. All of these services have been provided by Tmall and assisted by the Alibaba ecosystem.

Therefore, Jet Commerce is determined to adopt the concept e-commerce enablers as service development. It was reiterated that between Alibaba and Jet Commerce it was only limited to official partners, there was no share placement at all.

It is claimed that Jet Commerce's approach is different from what other players have to offer which are mostly focused on fulfilment and warehousing. The company also offers solutions front-in for brands, from digital marketing strategies, to managing accounts official store on various marketplace platforms, and others that lead to ways to maintain customer satisfaction.

There is a team Dedicated prepared by Jet Commerce to serve each brand, what are their needs and what kind of initiatives need to be taken.

Every product brand save in warehouse Jet Commerce is located in Daan Mogot, West Jakarta, covering an area of four thousand square meters. Delivery last mile carried out by a customer-chosen logistics partner.

It is said that Jet Commerce has partnered with 20 global brands, such as Mattel, Shiseido, MamiPoko, Oppo, Mustika Ratu, Colgate, and so on. Oliver targets at least an additional 20 brand global partners with companies.

To support this plan, his party is preparing additional warehouses that are ready to be placed around Java to support the efficiency of shipping costs to their destination.

'Indonesia needs more players'e-commerce enablers'. In China alone there are around 1000 players offering various solutions. In Indonesia, we want to be a player that focuses on customer satisfaction. Indonesians are easy to believe and that's what they want to develop with the packaging and services are more attractive to them," he concluded.
