Indonesia Flight After Acquisition by Blibli

Indonesia Flight has officially become the new Blibli family with a full acquisition. According to information from Marcella Einstein as Co-Founder & CEO, after the acquisition, Indonesia Flight will continue to operate as usual. Tiket and Indonesia Flight, which have customers with different segments, are one of the reasons why they will be able to synergize with the new “family”. The role of Blibli is also felt to be able to provide benefits for Indonesia Flight to continue to grow in the future.

Told by Marcella, the acquisition process went quite fast, took two months. Marcella assessed that by rejoining Tiket under Blibli, it opened a huge opportunity for Indonesia Flight and Tiket to grow both from the existing synergy plan and in terms of market penetration.

"We see this will open a huge opportunity for Indonesia Flight with Tiket to grow exponentially, both from the existing synergy plan and in terms of market penetration. Looking at the future potential and the many similarities in culture and business vision, we are very excited to join the Blibli family," said Marcella.

Unfortunately, Marcella does not want to reveal what Indonesia Flight will do after this acquisition.

"Sorry we can't" share regarding this," said Marcella when asked about Indonesia Flight's future plans.

It's just that Marcella is optimistic about the future of Indonesia Flight considering the growth of GMV which rose 100% from the previous year. The acquisition of Tiket and Indonesia Flight indicates that Blibli is taking the OTA (Online Travel Agency) industry seriously.

After the acquisition by Blibli, now Ticket  has done rebranding by changing their logo. Currently, in addition to travel and hotel tickets, Tiket also provides features for renting cars in major cities and features for buying show tickets to enter entertainment events. Meanwhile, Indonesia Flight is seen preparing a hotel room reservation feature on their website. It seems that 2018 will be quite a busy year for Indonesia Flight.
