iLotte E-Commerce Service Enters "Open Beta" Phase, Already Serving Transactions (UPDATED)

The JV Salim Group and Lotte Group e-commerce services are expected to be officially launched by the end of 2017

After carrying out the development and preparation process since 2016, currently the service site E-commerce j Salim Group and Lotte Group iLotte already appeared live and ready to accept transactions (purchases and payments). Service e-commerce, which almost all of them provide products and services brand belonging to the Salim Group is already in version open beta and it is said that it will officially launch at the end of the year or early 2018.

The presence of PT Indo Lotte Makmur, as the owner of the iLotte brand, is part of the Salim Group digital expansion quite intense this year. Interestingly, the Salim Group is said to have just acquired SK Planet ownership in Elevenia and the presence of iLotte will complete the Salim Group portfolio in the e-commerce industry.

Because Elevenia works in the C2C sector, while iLotte appears to be B2C, it is very interesting to see the competitive landscape of the e-commerce industry in the future, especially since Alibaba, the majority owner of Lazada's B2C service, has just entered as a minority shareholder of Tokopedia's C2C service.
