IDCloudHost Releases Two Computing Products for SMEs and Startups

Part of the company's realization after receiving funding of $5 million from Init6 in March 2021

Service provider company cloud and data center local IDCloudHost inaugurated two special computing products to target MSMEs and startups throughout Southeast Asia. The product is part of the realization of funding received by the company from Init6 last March.

The two products are VPS Cloud Servers and Object Storage. Cloud VPS server is a service full cloud which makes it easy for users to be able to scale up and down server requirements according to usage that is calculated in a transparent, scalable, and affordable cost.

Whereas, object-storage is an Object-based storage service that can store various files ranging from image, video, audio (Media) files, HTML files, CSS, JS (Website and Application Files), and other files and is compatible with the S3 protocol. These two solutions are right for MSMEs and startups who want to develop their business.

Service fee full cloud This starts at IDR 50 per month, while Object Storage starts at IDR 500 per gigabyte. Claimed by the features and cost offered, it is very competitive in an industry that is currently competing fiercely with foreign players. Moreover, there are still many MSMEs in Indonesia whose businesses have not been digitized.

According to the records of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, the total number of MSMEs in Indonesia has reached 64,1 million. Meanwhile, based on data from idEA, there are 13,7 million MSME players who have joined the digital ecosystem in May 2021. Therefore, the government continues to promote the digitalization program. It is targeted that as many as 30 million MSMEs can digitally onboard in 2024.

In a virtual press conference held today (16/6), IDCloudHost Founder & CEO Alfian Pamungkas Sakawiguna explained, these two products are part of the company's efforts to reach the Southeast Asian market, with the support of the latest technology and quality human resources. "We chose the cheapest because we believe technology can drive businesses to be more efficient and keep them at the best level," he said.

To support this ambition, the company has prepared a number of strategies. These include providing a data center in Singapore, web page support and customer service in English language. “We are continuously trying to improve the quality of the connection, now we are still in the process of expanding the connection to Singapore because in general there are Gateway towards wider access,” added IDCloudHost CTO Faisal Reza.

There are five IDCloudHost data centers in total, the majority of which are located in Indonesia. According to Faisal, the presence of a data center that is close to the user's location certainly lowers latency so that the response is much faster.

It is said that currently IDCloudHost has more than 100 thousand customers, the majority come from startups, MSMEs, and developer. As many as 20% of the total customers come from outside Indonesia. "By the end of the year, it is targeted to reach 250 thousand-300 thousand customers from various segments," he concluded.

IDCloudHost is one of the players cloud local businesses that focus on the MSME and startup segments. This industry is surrounded by big players who come from outside Indonesia, such as Amazon, Microsoft, Alibaba, Google, and Tencent.
