HygienePass, Hospitality Industry Innovation to Face the Pandemic

Help hotels implement health protocols and give consumers a sense of security.

The pandemic period has had a considerable impact on the accommodation and tourism industry, one of which is hospitality. The success of hotel operators, which has continued to grow in the last few years, has been forced to slowly collapse due to declining demand for their lodging units.

However, despite continuing to face various challenges, hoteliers must continue to provide innovations that can sustain their business operations. Starting from presenting new products, to implementing health protocols that can give consumers a sense of security and comfort. This can also be supported by the continued demand from consumers who are still carrying out activities traveling domestic, both for work and personal purposes in the midst of this pandemic.

This innovation opportunity was also seen by RedDoorz Indonesia. Through the HygienePass certification presented, RedDoorz can now provide a sense of security for hotel users while staying during this pandemic.

Ensuring Hygiene and Comfort for Hotel Users

This HygienePass certification can be the latest innovation that is effective in increasing the guarantee of cleanliness and comfort for hotel users. On the consumer side, this certification can make them more relaxed to travel during the pandemic. From the business side, this certification can enable their business operations to continue in the midst of a pandemic.

One of RedDoorz's efforts to ensure the standardization of hygiene and cleanliness of hospitality partners through the HygienePass certification is by collaborating with the Indonesian Association of Public Health Experts (IAKMI). This collaboration is carried out to conduct assessments and award certificates to hotel partners.

Through HygienePass certification, there are several points that will be prepared by the hotel to ensure the comfort of its users. First, the hotel will take temperature measurements during the process check-in. This body temperature check does not only apply to guests, but also to hotel staff on duty. Second, hotel staff as well as guests must report their health conditions and travel history for the past two weeks.

Third, the hotel will ensure the use of masks by staff and provide 80% alcohol-based hand sanitizer at all times in the public areas of the hotel. Finally, the hotel must continue to carry out thorough, regular and periodic cleaning and spraying of disinfectants.

In addition to preventing virus transmission, this HygienePass certification can be one of the important innovations that can be used by the hotel industry to continue to survive. For RedDoorz itself, this certification is mandatory for all its hospitality partners. Indonesia itself is the main market from RedDoorz in Asia until the end of 2019 with a total of 1200 units. So that this innovation can also be RedDoorz's main effort to maintain its market in the midst of this pandemic.

By having this HygienePass certification, hoteliers can guarantee the health and comfort of their guests without compromising any service. For users who still need lodging during this pandemic, they can continue to use cheap hotel, without worrying about the health protocols that are applied.
