Indonesia's First Live Hackster Held in Bandung

Gathering IoT developers and stakeholders to invigorate the country's IoT industry

It's hard not to say that the development and industry of the Internet of Things (IoT) in Indonesia continues to thrive. The latest evidence is the event in Indonesia, a global event initiated by Hackster.io to support the positive movement towards mastery hardware and development including educating makers or developers hardware and the community. This event itself took place last Saturday at DILo Bandung, Bale Motekar, Padjadjaran University, Bandung, West Java.

In an event involving 70 developers hardware who have been in the Indonesian IoT world for a long time are filled by presenters who are already familiar with development hardware and the homeland IoT industry. They are Andri Yadi, the initiator of DycodeEdu and ambassador for Hackster.io, Yugie Nugraha from Microsoft Indonesia, Rendara Toro from Intel Innovator and Fadhil from Gravicode. The speakers present provided material that could not be separated from the IoT discussion, such as discussing the ESP8266-based Development boards, Azure for IoT, Intel Edison and .NETGadgeteer.

"In addition to growing the interest of Indonesian makers to work in the IoT field, this event is also a series of official events from Hackster Live to create new innovations from Indonesia," said Andri Yadi.

In addition Andri also explained that this Hackster Live event can actually be held by all parties, as long as the event is registered on Hackter.io.

"Anyone can hold this event, it's just that their registered status on Hakster.io must be clarified. I see DycodeEdu is able to support this IoT movement, why not include DycodeEdu in this Hackster Live event," he explained.

On the same occasion Andri Yadi as a representative of the maker community and other stakeholders launched Makestro, a place for all parties to participate in this maker movement. Conceptually, Makestro provides an opportunity for everyone who joins to be able to share, learn, and sell their IoT works to earn money exposure, both from the community and stakeholders.

As we previously reported, one of the development problems hardware In Indonesia, besides requiring capital and equipment to start creating, the possibility of getting a decent price is also a problem. The presence of Hackster Live and Makestro events itself seems to be the answer for developers hardware in Indonesia.
