In a media meeting, Traveloka's Head of Growth Management Transportation Product Iko Putera said, Traveloka offers a choice of airline tickets with destinations to more than 200 thousand choices of routes, trains to more than 9 thousand combinations of routes, buses and travel with more than 110 operator choices. , rental cars that are available in 36 cities in Indonesia, as well as airport shuttle services that are available at 149 domestic and international airports.

"Based on our research, public interest in the airplane mode of transportation is still quite high. However, this year, the demand for land transportation has increased significantly, reaching up to 30 percent for trains and 300 percent for inter-city buses compared to the previous period. normal."

Not only helping customers to get complete information about the selected bus transportation, Traveloka also helps bus operator owners to improve their services by utilizing big data analytics and feedback from customers. The bus service which is currently considered to be very fragmented, making it difficult for operators and Traveloka to be able to help and fix the existing system.

Asked whether by focusing on land transportation, the number of flight ticket sales has decreased on the Traveloka platform, Iko emphasized that airline tickets are still dominating at Traveloka, followed by several other alternatives in land transportation, such as trains, buses and trains. rental mobile.

"In the first quarter there was growth in airline ticket bookings, despite the sluggishness of the industry due to the increase in aircraft prices and followed by other modes of land transportation. This is in line with the development of infrastructure in Indonesia which is increasingly supportive," said Iko.

Until now, the use of the application still dominates the choice of customers to make reservations and purchase tickets. The Traveloka application itself has now been downloaded more than 40 million times.

Traveloka claims to have inventory with more than 450 thousand hotels in 100 countries and 100 airline partners.
