Grab Launch GrabRewards for Loyal Users, Exchangeable Accumulative Points

Following the achievement of user growth Grab reach 27 million by the end of this year

Today Grab officially announced the beta version of the feature GrabRewards, a loyalty program aimed at consumers. This program will give appreciation to passengers Grab in the form of points on each trip, whether using Grabbicycle, GrabCar and GrabTaxi throughout the coverage area Grab. The points earned can later be exchanged for discounted fares, free rides to offers from partners who have been appointed by Grab.

GrabRewards comes in line with the growth of users Grab overall, from 10 million at the end of last year to 27 million users as of December this year. Users in Indonesia and Singapore will be the first to experience this service. In the coming weeks users in other countries will follow. GrabRewards consists of four levels of loyalty based on the number of trips, starting from Platinum (1% of the top passengers), Gold (5% of the top passengers), Silver (15% of the top passengers) and the rest fall into the category member.

Poin reward itself is mathematically calculated based on the type of vehicle, type of service, distance traveled and the total fare paid, both in cash and using GrabPay. Reward platinum for users will give access to priority allocation, ride bookings will take precedence. In addition, platinum passengers will also be given a number hotline exclusively that can be accessed for direct assistance from the parties Grab.

We will continue to improve GrabRewards for ensuring that we apply the approach hyperlocal and program loyalty personalized and fun for our users. We will continue to add exclusive Rewards and Rewards Partners in all our operational areas," said the Group Vice President of Marketing Grab Cheryl Goh.

For users in Indonesia, currently there are several partners for point exchange. This includes Agoda, Alfamart, Althea, Flexiroam, Fraser Hospitality, HappyFresh, KeSuperMarket, Lippo Malls, Alam Sutera Mall, Trade Mall, Timezone to Tokopedia. Users can view and exchange Rewards from the Rewards catalog available in the application Grab.
