Available Immediately at Gojek, LinkAja Becomes an Alternative Payment Method

LinkAja soon became an alternative in-app payment Gojek, other than Go-Pay. This announcement marks a first Gojek opening up its ecosystem by attracting third parties, as well as breaking the public perception that LinkAja's presence is heating up the map of electronic money competition in Indonesia.

President Gojek Andre Soelistyo said, this feature will be available in the near future this year. His party considers that by implementing an open ecosystem and collaboration with all parties, more people will be able to feel the positive impact.

"Gojek congratulate LinkAja on the launch and we positively welcome LinkAJa's presence on our platform," explained Andre in an official statement.

Go-Pay Managing Director Budi Gandasoebrata added, LinkAja has a mission similar to Gojek and Go-Pay, which supports the acceleration of the National Non-Cash Movement (GNNT), introduces and educates the Indonesian public about the benefits of non-cash payments.

Andre added, the future is good Gojek and Go-Pay will always be open to collaborations that aim to have a positive impact on society, as well as build Indonesia's economy from the bottom of the pyramid.

LinkAja itself was officially introduced on June 30, 2019 as electronic money from synergy Telkomsel and seven SOEs. A few days ago, LinkAja's CEO Danu Wicaksana explained that LinkAja's current strategy is to focus on services that are the basic needs of the community, so that it does not increase promotions on lifestyle services.

There are a number of pilot project for the addition of new services such as remittances, rail transportation, toll roads, gas stations.

One of the services that has been officially available is a loan. LinkAja partners with lending startup Kredit Pintar to provide this service. Users can borrow funds cash loans ranging from Rp. 600 thousand to Rp. 1,2 million.
