Gojek Roll Out Several New Features to Improve GoFood, GoSend, and Transportation Service Businesses

Until March 2021, app Gojek has been downloaded more than 190 million times by users across Southeast Asia

Celebrating its 11th Anniversary, Gojek announced three new innovations in their three main services, namely GoFood, GoSend, and transportation services. Not only does it make it easier for consumers to enjoy various services, but this innovation can also help SME partners to large companies and startups facilitate their services.

To media Co-Founder & CEO Gojek Kevin Aluwi said, his company strives to continue to present the latest innovations and technologies in order to answer various challenges and people's daily needs.

What later became the spotlight included GoFood, GoSend, and innovation in transportation services Gojek. Each service that is the choice of consumers to partners, gets upgrade from innovation to convenience for partners and consumers.

Strengthen transportation services

To strengthen these services, Gojek established a strategic partnership with PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia. With the developed system, relevant information will be provided to users of the best route possible they travel via GoTransit. other than that Gojek will also provide recommendations for advanced modes of transportation at affordable prices.

In minimizing the use of gasoline-fueled motorbikes and free of carbon emissions, Gojek expanding plans for the utilization of electric vehicles through commercial trials. Later partner Gojek who have an electric motor, can replace their electric motor battery easily at the Pertamina gas station that they partner with Gojek by applying the schema battery swap on electric motors from Gesit and Gogoro.

At this stage, Gojek will use 500 units of electric motorbikes in South Jakarta, then will further increase the scale of trials with an initial target of utilizing up to 5000 units of electric motorbikes and the mileage of using electric vehicles of one million kilometers.

One of the obstacles that many electric motorcycle owners face today is the lack of supporting infrastructure when they are on the road. Through cooperation with Pertamina, is expected to make it easier for driver partners Gojek replace the electric motor battery.

GoSend API Development

One of the services that is increasingly used by companies and SMEs is service delivered GoSend. Starting from Halodoc to Tokopedia, which houses millions of sales partners, has integrated the GoSend API into their business.

Given the magnitude of the demand, Gojek  developing the GoSend API that can integrate GoSend services with business partner platforms so as to provide delivery services.

GoSend will also soon launch the GoSend Multidrop feature which gives users the opportunity to send multiple packages at once with just one pick up. Through this feature, users can set which package should be sent first. In order to save up to 30% on shipping costs, users can take advantage of the recommended delivery order feature provided.

GoFood Plus for loyal customers

During the pandemic the number of new partners who joined was around 250 thousand. Overall, there are currently 1 million GoFood partners who have joined and most of them are SMEs.

To provide more services to loyal users, GoFood launched the GoFood Plus subscription feature. Not only can you order in large quantities or order at once, GoFood Plus can also reduce shipping costs. To date, there are 41 locations in 7 major cities including Greater Jakarta, Bandung and Surabaya. This location expansion for Simultaneous Orders has increased 8x since its introduction in September 2020.

Supporting SME-owned businesses, the application for partners is equipped with the innovative BizTips GoBiz feature, which contains various tips for successfully managing a business independently. This feature is effective in helping culinary MSME partners to manage their business better and more efficiently.
