Go-Jek and Ruma Help Raise Driver Partners' Living Standards Through Established Arisan

Through this collaboration, Go-Jek partners or their partners can become the chairman of Arisan Mapan and earn additional income

Located at Sindu Kusuma Park, Yogyakarta, last Saturday (17/12) Go-Jek inaugurated their partnership with another Indonesian startup, Ruma. This collaboration involves Ruma's Arisan Mapan program which is a program to make it easier for people to realize having dream goods through the Arisan system. Through this collaboration, Go-Jek partners or their partners can become the chairman of Arisan Mapan and earn additional income. The cooperation program can also be accessed by all GO-JEK partners in Java and Bali.

Through a media statement, Ruma CEO Aldi Haryopratomo said that Ruma and Go-Jek have the same vision and commitment to help the informal sector improve its welfare. Through this collaboration, Go-Jek partners or their partners can get the opportunity to get dream items and additional income from commissions for purchasing goods made by each member by becoming the chairman of Arisan Mapan. In addition, Arisan Mapan Chairs or their partners can also join as Go-Jek partners.

Aldi said, “Arisan Mapan's mission is to increase access, degrees, and income for low-income people through technology. Along with the stages of family life, the needs are also increasing. They also often have difficulty in meeting needs or getting dream items. Therefore, we are here to help you get quality goods easily and affordably.”

Meanwhile, Go-Jek President Andre Soelistyo explained, “Since our establishment, Go-Jek's focus has been on empowering informal sector workers. This collaboration is a form of our commitment to increase the income and welfare of informal sector workers. By collaborating with Arisan Mapan, we provide access to entrepreneurial opportunities for Go-Jek partners. […] This collaboration is also part of Swadaya, a benefit program to help improve the welfare of partners driver. "

For information, in November 2016, Go-Jek has run the Swadaya program to help improve the welfare of their driver partners. This program is claimed by Go-Jek to have five main benefits for driver-partners. These include providing access to financial services (banking and insurance), affordable automatic installments, discounts for daily needs, access to entrepreneurial opportunities to help increase family income, and driving training.

Go-Jek itself claims, until December 2016 it has partnered with more than 250.000 driver partners, 3000 other service providers and 35.000 culinary businesses that become merchant Go-Food.

In 2016, Go-Jek also made a lot of movement. Starting from launching new services such as Go-Auto, acquiring LeftShift and Pianta, to get funding which now makes Go-Jek a startup status unicorn in Indonesia. Meanwhile Ruma, this year has also been launch the app mobile devices for program Established Arisan last September.

With the inauguration of this collaboration, Go-Jek and Ruma also hope that Go-Jek partners and Arisan Mapan members can become more empowered with their own strengths and can improve family welfare for the better. This cooperation program can be accessed by all Go-Jek partners in Java and Bali. To join as chairman of Arisan Mapan, Go-Jek partner pairs can register at Go-Jek operational offices in Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Solo, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Malang and Bali.
