GO-JEK Confirms the Presence of GO-Ventures

Will target startups in Southeast Asia to strengthen the service ecosystem

After previously circulating news about GO-Ventures, a capital unit from GO-JEK, some time ago the CEO of GO-JEK, Nadiem Makarim, gave confirmation related to the plan. According to the sources we have obtained, the Head of Go-Ventures is a former Redmart executive with a long time in the industry investment banking, especially in Singapore.

Mentioned by Nadiem, currently GO-Ventures is being prepared and will be inaugurated soon. GO-Ventures is targeting funding for startups in Southeast Asia, promoting strategic collaboration with GO-JEK businesses.

So far, GO-JEK has at least invested in health technology startups HaloDoc and health technology startups PasarPolis. In addition, they have also acquired a number of fintech services.

The presence of GO-Ventures also re-beats the drum of competition with its rivals, Grab. Some time ago Grab already announced Grab Ventures. Targeted industry verticals Grab Ventures include online payments, finance, shopping, logistics and food delivery.
