Get to know Synchro, a Data Transmission and Distribution Service Developer Startup

In today's digital transformation, optimizing data management is one that many businesses concentrate on. Seeing this opportunity, Synchro is here to offer a solution for data synchronization. With the motto "Any Data to Any Target", Synchro systems will help businesses pull data and transmit it for further processing as needed. Synchro just got investment fund from PT Multidata Rancana Prima worth 2,7 billion rupiah.

Application package Synchro consists of two parts, Agents and Masters. The Agents application is installed and embedded in the data points to be compressed, usually according to capabilities bandwidth which exists. Then the data is retrieved and transmitted securely via encrypted connectivity to the Master application. The Master application will decrypt and extract the compressed data to be entered into the destination database.

All processes running in the Synchro application package can be scheduled as needed. This service also supports process automation in Machine-to-Machine (M2M), so it can minimize the manual operation process from the administrator.

Designed for less stable networks

Synchro's background is that there are many areas in Indonesia that have not been reached by stable network (internet) connectivity, so the synchronization process in data transmission is one of the advantages that it wants to offer. After the data is compressed and sent (usually large), the connection may be lost, but the embedded algorithm can present the model auto-resume. When the connection is lost, the data transmission process will stop, when connected, it will reconnect without having to start from the beginning.

“This Synchro can work on various types of operating systems, platforms, applications, and databases. The term sugar for all types of coffee. From the existing business processes, Synchro is suitable for B2B and B2G applications with large-scale systems and complex environments that require data consolidation and distribution. The intended market share for the implementation of this application is currently focusing on IoT systems and smart city, banking, government, corporate, supply chain leaders, logistics and retail.

“The initial design of the Synchro was there because it was getting more complex environment for technology and the variety of architectures and the development of new ideas make data an important commodity, as is finding answers to how to get things done fast. Even in the current era, not only data is sent, but it is sent as soon as possible to enter and exit different systems," continued Sindarta.

Synchro was founded in 2014 by Sindarta Gemilang, Argon Usman and Eko Sukaryanto. Finally, Synchro had time to participate in the Indigo Creative Nation incubation event.

Had thought to tie in hardware

At first the Synchro team had thought to apply its services in the form of a hardware box, so it's kind of router. But the complexity factor manufacturing hardware (price, size, warranty, support etc.) made Synchro decide to just be an app. As an application, Synchro must be efficient and can be entered from various hardware systems, ranging from servers, mobile phones, tablets, desktops, router, sensors, and more.

“Many people feel that data transmission is complete with bandwidth large internet, how to transmit and the methodology needs to be considered. For example sending data or copying movie data blue-ray which are of fantastic magnitude, many fail. Synchro helps optimize the way and results of data transmission, bandwidth just a means. Imagine if data transmission via sensors is carried out continuously via mobile networks which consumes power and costs because Broadcast continuously," continued Sindarta.

The IoT era is a growing opportunity for Synchro

This year, Synchro has a target to socialize its solutions to a wider audience. One of them is for synchronizing data within the Government, Ministries and State Institutions, because currently the data is scattered and not integrated with each other between agencies. Besides, the other target is to do a lot vertical testing with startup partners who use the Synchro data platform to help solve industry-specific problems. Because according to the Synchro team in IoT there is no single vendor and solution providers which can be in all fields, need collaboration.

"IoT is a necessity and a major factor for infrastructure development that leads to a digital approach, so opportunity costs must be taken into account to make enhancements in our technology. We still have a long way to go," concluded Sindarta.
