GDILab Launches GDIAnalytics for SMBs and Startups

Providing social media analytics features and services at affordable prices

GDILab, a technology company based in Jakarta and engaged in the social media analyticss, today launched the new analytics product GDIAnalytics. By utilizing the three most favorite social media in Indonesia, namely Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, GDIAnalytics wants to target SMEs and aims to provide integrated services that are able to monitor and analyze the performance of the three social media to help companies, SMEs, and startups determine marketing strategies that right on target.

The platforms offered by GDIAnalytics are Twitter, Facebook and Instagram against the background of the fact that all three have unstructured data which has the potential to become digital market insights.

“GDIAnalytics tries to analyze the data so that brand and the company can achieve the target and goal which exists. GDIAnalytics' goal is to help SMEs by offering digital analytics services," said GDILab Co-Founder Billy Boen.

GDIAnalytics is a combination of two previously created products, namely Polaris and Iris. With this product, GDILab claims to be the first Indonesian company to provide open analytic tool software as part of its services or Software as a Service (SaaS).

"We're not really company analytics first in Indonesia but we are the first company in Indonesia that is confident enough to compete with other global companies by offering affordable prices,” said Billy.

Partnering with Twitter and IBM

GDILab supported by Twitter Indonesia as part of the Twitter ecosystem. This collaboration seeks to provide the best impact for each party, help more SMEs, and understand their potential.

"The collaboration is not just data development but how the data can be used for Twitter and GDILab clients by using tools existing. Twitter as a social media that provides the most open data, the function of Twitter is more to understand interest from people,” said Roy Mangunsong, Country Business Head, Twitter Indonesia.

So far, Twitter has become a platform for people to talk about topics related to social media brand or product,Update yourself with the latest news. By using hashtags, Twitter is also often used for campaigning and can be responded to directly by follower easily.

Developed in the form of dashboards, GDIAnalytics features allow users to know what people are talking about products or brand related, measuring performance buzzer, anyone who helped promote the campaign along with its location, as well as measuring the popularity of a campaign that has been run.

"We want to target all SMEs who want to develop their business and of course have technology literacy and are willing to pay Rp 500 thousand every month," said Billy.

To educate more SMEs to use social media as a means of promotion, GDILab conducts a series of activities offline, such as training, fully supported by the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs. It is hoped that they can introduce more benefits of social media to support the progress of SME businesses in Indonesia.

"I see that currently global companies that offer the same features and services do not fully care for SMEs in Indonesia, with GDIAnalytics we will help all SMEs by taking advantage of the features they need and of course at an affordable price," said Billy.

In addition to partnering with Twitter, GDILab is also supported by IBM in terms of infrastructure. GDILab has also partnered with Thai analytics firm Digital Associates Co.Ltd. (DA) which has been running for almost a year.

“Analytics make it possible to guess and determine what interests and interest from consumers. It is hoped that GDIAnalytics can also be useful for SMEs and startups in Indonesia," concluded Billy.
