GDILab Announces Investment Gain from Angel Investor

One of the local startups engaged in social media analysis, GDILab this weekend announced the acquisition of investment from angel investor Andy Zain who is the Director of the Founders Institute and Managing Director of Kejora Ventures. One of the reasons that made Andy invest in GDILab was because of GDILab's vision of trying to help SMEs or startups in Indonesia.

"I believe in GDILab's vision, the shareholders, the team, and what GDILab will do to help millions of SMEs/startups in Indonesia,” explained Andy.

Andy Zain is officially an angel investor GDILab on September 21, 2016. Unfortunately, there is no information on how much money Andy has injected for GDILab.

For information, GDILab was founded by Billy Boen, Jefri Dinomo, Masas Dani, and Yopie Suryadi in December 2013. At the beginning of its existence, GDILab has produced several lines of analytical products, namely Polaris (Facebook-Twitter Analytics), Iris (Instagram Analytics), and also GNEWS. In the 2015 period, GDILab did a spin off on GNEWS to stand alone as a company. After the spin off in May 2016, all co-founders, namely Yopie and Masas, fully exited and focused on GNEWS with Yopie as CEO.

Other products developed by GDILab include GDI Analytics, a social media analysis tool that is a combination of Polaris and Iris. With the products it has developed, GDILab has a mission to help SMEs, brands, startups, and companies gain insight into the digital market from social media to make it easier to design accurate marketing strategies.

Responding to Andy who became angel investors, Billy Boen revealed that the shareholders and the team are proud because they are trusted to be one of the startups that Andy trusts to invest in. After receiving this funding, GDILab will strive to continue to help SMEs and startups to be better prepared to face the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) armed with research and data.
