[Game Playlist] Early Impressions Playing Mass Effect: Andromeda

The update to version 1.05 last week fixed many technical and animation issues in the game.

Even before launch, EA Access customers had already discovered a problem in Mass Effect Andromeda: the human characters weren't perfect, and there were a lot of them bugs on animation. BioWare is trying to make up for the flaws in the game through patch, however gamer Telah already disappointed to technical constraints and less than optimal quality gameplay.

One of the realizations of BioWare's promise of improvement is through Update to version 1.05 in the last week. Through patch that, developer fixed some elements in the tutorial and single player, balancing multi player, quell various glitch related to animation and improve lip sync. The update also brings the character's eyeballs to life, no longer looking like plastic dolls.

As game The previous Mass Effect, you have to invest tens of hours to complete or uncover all the secrets that BioWare is hiding in Andromeda. And in this Game Playlist article, I intend to express my impressions after playing it for a few hours. For your information, the majority of my time is spent editing character faces, and currently Ryder is still in Habitat 7.

Taking the background of the Andromeda galaxy, BioWare tries to give it a new leaf, but some elements remain related to the Mass Effect trilogy - for example you can determine the gender of Commander Shepard. The most unique things in Andromeda can be found at the beginning. Ranges will give you a choice: play with the provided characters or customize your own, and your decisions will affect the members of the Ryder family.

First of all, you are asked to choose one of the two twin sisters Scott or Sara Ryder to be the protagonist. Using options custom, you can change Ryder's specialization and appearance. BioWare provides 10 options, 9 of which are configurable. And by pointing one out of nine preset, Ryder's father's face also changed, and players were welcome toedit the face of his brother/sister. Then if you don't change your character's first name, the NPCs will sometimes call you Sara or Scott.

The visual elements of the game feel contradictory. On the one hand, Andromeda presents stunning graphics. The atmospheric colors and flying rocks in Habitat 7 remind me of Pandora in Avatar. This planet is inhabited by unique flora, giant mushrooms, and creatures like flying fish. Then the effects of laser gun explosions, explosions, and lightning striking randomly look very detailed. Everything is presented neatly and smoothly (more than 100fps) in settingultra 1080p above notebook gaming MSI GT72VR Dominator Tobii.

But on the other hand, the character model is very disappointing. The quality is far below The Witcher 3, even I think Dragon Age: Inquisition performs better. tool editing is also limited. After spending almost an hour, I still can't create a satisfactory face - some curves can't be removed, then the nose shape looks weird. Whereas, character creation is the most crucial element in the game role playing.

Then is Mass Effect: Andromeda worth playing, especially for Mass Effect fans and story fans? sci-fi? Of course, but not at a price of Rp. 660 thousand and with conditions like this. My advice is, wait until there are more Update content and fixes, and be patient until the price drops further.
