Prosa.ai Gets Series A Funding from GDP Venture

An AI startup that develops text and voice processing technology in Indonesian

Prosa.ai startup developer platform artificial intelligence (AI) for text processing technology (NLP - Natural Language Processing) and speech recognition in Indonesian, today (20/6) announced the acquisition of series A funding led by GDP Venture. No mention of the amount of funds received. The investment continues initial funding received last year from Kaskus (also a GDP Venture portfolio)

"Even though the amount talent AI is limited including in Indonesia, but the founders of Prosa.ai have shown that Indonesia is capable of developing AI technology and Prosa.ai has also shown progress very good in a short time," said GDP Venture CEO Martin Hartono.

He also said, AI is a technology that is developing and is needed to support various industries. So investing in AI technology is a strategic step for the company and is expected to participate in technological advancements in Indonesia.

prose.ai was founded in 2018, starting from the results of research co-founder namely Ayu Purwarianti, Dessi Puji Lestari and Teguh Eko Budiarto. Not long ago, Prosa.ai in collaboration with Kominfo launched Anti Hoax Chatbot which serves to check news, articles or links provided by the community through the feature chat.

"The funding we get will be used to strengthen our team, improve the quality of our products and data to be even better. Several products we will improve the quality of, such as Intel Hoax Prose, NLP Toolkit API, Concept-Sentiment, Chatbot NLP Processing, Text Data Sets, Voice Biometrics, Speech Datasets, Speech-to-Text, Text-to-Speech, Conversational Analytics and Meeting Analytics for Indonesian," said Teguh Eko Budiarto, CEO of Prosa.ai.
