Angon Inaugurates New Office and Prepares Some Innovations

Will change the policy to a marketplace model and provide B2B services

Indonesian Angon (Angon) is currently a fairly active livestock startup in Indonesia. They have collaborated with several animal husbandry centers and breeders in Bogor, Semarang and Sumbawa. There has even been cooperation with breeders from New Zealand and Australia.

Early last August, Angon has just inaugurated its new office in Semarang. This appears to be the prelude to a number of major maneuvers to be carried out in the near future.

Reminded again, Angon is a startup that carries the spirit of raising livestock online through cultivation investment. Members can buy livestock (sheep or cows) to be cared for at Angon's partner farms.

The livestock cycle for members who become investors is 3 times the livestock period. One period of livestock takes 3 months. After that, members are freed to sell or withdraw the livestock. The profits are obtained with a profit-sharing system.

This process can be fully carried out through the Angon application which is now available on Google Play and the App Store.

Policy reshuffling and innovation

In an effort to grow the business, Yoki B. Sembodo as Vice President of Angon said that there will be a number of changes this August. The first is about the policy on livestock ownership. Currently, all livestock from farmers are purchased first by Angon, and then offered to its members.

The concept is planned to change as of August 25 later. Angon will be marketplace linking its members and farmers. The price of livestock offered is based on weight and also the calculation of maintenance costs during the livestock period.

Currently, the total livestock owned by Angon has reached more than 20 thousand heads.

Meanwhile, the innovation that is being prepared is to build B2B and B2C models for the distribution of livestock. Not only providing solutions for individuals who want to raise livestock online, Angon will provide livestock for institutions or businesses in need. Including the sale of fresh meat obtained directly from farmers.

This month, to celebrate Eid al-Adha, Angon launched the "Semarak Qurban" program. A program that helps members to buy and distribute sacrificial meat to partners who work with Angon.

Build an online farmer village

One of several Angon livestock centers is in Wawar Village, Jambu District, Semarang, Central Java. There Angon has a dream to build an online farming village. This initiative is also supported by Telkom, as a partner who has incubated in the Indigo program. There will be internet access brought in for convenience Update livestock development and so on.

One of Angon's missions is to make it easier for Indonesians to own livestock without the hassle of owning a cage, taking care of feed, and so on. Angon also applies high livestock standards, starting from the quality of the cage, feed, care and supervision to ensure maximum livestock growth. Angon too provide insurance to all livestock to protect against losses in case of livestock deaths.
