Four Years of Class Travel

Setting up new features for Kelase Live Lecture, scoring system, and continuing to develop Enterprise LMS (Learning Management System).

Kelase's journey as one of the educational startups in Indonesia has reached its fourth year. One of the updates made is to prepare the latest Kelase Live Lecture feature that allows teachers or facilitators to conduct online learning in the form of live broadcasts.

So far, according to the COO of Kelase Winastwan Gora, their services have been used in more than 4.000 institutions, with a percentage of more than 40% of high school-level institutions, 20% of junior high-level institutions, and the rest are non-formal education institutions, such as tutoring institutions, companies, local government, to central government agencies or ministries.

Gora, who was involved in Kelase's four-year journey, wrote several travel notes on the Kelase blog. There he tells that Kelase is the embodiment of a large campus located in the "cloud" or cloud. A campus that is on its way to being trusted by many users.

Travel class continues to be accompanied by quality improvements and additional features.

"The most requested feature is about assessment, many requests are in the form of additional features, especially for evaluation features (quiz and practice questions) including for reports and analysis. This learning evaluation or assessment feature is the most widely used in Kelase by its users and gets the most demand to be developed continuously," explained Gora.

The development of edtech services in Indonesia

As part of the ecosystem, Kelase sees positive signs for the edtech industry in Indonesia. According to Gora, this can be seen from the number of services that continue to grow. He interprets the bustling edtech sector in Indonesia as a mutual effort of the private sector to jointly improve access and quality of education with the help of technology.

"With the focus of the government and the private sector on improving the quality of human capital, so EdTech menjadi enablers and accelerators for this purpose. Coupled with the availability of internet access that is getting wider and faster, in the future the need for the use of edtech will be even greater," he explained.

He believes that the ecosystem EdTech will grow. It's just a matter of how the related parties, both private and government can work together to strengthen the ecosystem EdTech with policies, incentives, access to capital, technical support and mentoring, and access to the education market.

Next class plan

According to Gora, from the very beginning of its launch, Kelase brought the spirit to build closeness with its users. Kelase also strives to fulfill all user requests regarding the required features.

"From the beginning until now, there has been a lot of input and feedback from users about the Kelase features that we have implemented and implemented, thus forming the current version of Kelase. So what Kelase has developed is mostly input from our users. The enthusiasm of users is not only in only use it, but they are also enthusiastic to provide input and suggestions for the development of Kelase," said Gora.

Classes have a long way to go as a service EdTech in Indonesia. In the future, it is said that Kelase will focus on the Enterprise LMS (Learning Management System) market.

"We will continue to develop the Kelase LMS to be able to meet the need for corporate e-learning whose sales numbers continue to grow every year, in addition to continuing to strengthen Kelase for the needs of schools and universities," concluded Gora.
