Celebrates Fourth Anniversary, elevenia Prepares Post-Acquisition Strategy

After the acquisition process by the Salim Group, on its fourth anniversary elevenia back with a new face. In addition to announcing a number of additional features, elevenia introduced their new CEO, Sugiharto Darmakusuma. In his remarks, Sugiharto expressed his hope to lead Elevenia with a new spirit and strategy.

"Although currently e-commerce services are already quite dense in Indonesia, judging from the breadth of Indonesia, I think there is still room for elevenia to play in this sector."

The presence of Sugiharto is an effort by the Salim Group to strengthen elevenia services, which are considered to be able to last for four years.

"Why did Salim Group acquire elevenia, because it has to adopt a digital business and can't stay offline forever, while using it?" data analytics available," said Sugiharto.

Sugiharto added that elevenia wanted to participate in the growth of the digital ecosystem in Indonesia. With the increasing internet penetration to remote areas. elevenia wants to reach more sellers, buyers, and communities in various regions in Indonesia.

New features

To improve the user experience while accessing elevenia, the company provides an update that is simpler but includes more complete categories.

"We also ensure that even with a poor internet connection, elevenia can be accessed easily and quickly," said Elevenia's Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Edward Kilian Suwignyo. Edward was previously the CMO of OLX Indonesia.

elevenia also brings several new features, such as logistics services drop and pick up Indo Package that utilizes Indomaret outlets in various regions. The company also provides a greater number of bank payment options in the Ottopay feature.

"Unlike other services that only provide transfer options from well-known banks, we provide more banks for buyers," said Edward.

Another feature is E-MART, an option to shop for daily necessities at wholesale prices. This feature is presented by cooperating with PopBox through the latest PopStore products.

To DailySocial, PopBox Co-Founder Greta Bunawan said, through PopStore later all wholesale goods purchased at Elevenia will go through fulfillment center PopStore to then be sent directly to the buyer's house on the same day (same-day delivery). For now, this service is only available in Jadetabek.

"Not only products from the Salim Group, products with wholesale prices also apply to all products available at Elevenia," said Greta.

Asked whether this feature will compete with similar products that are also carried by the Salim Group, IDmarco, Edward said that Elevenia will also carry out synergies with IDmarco.

Staring at the B2B market

Currently, elevenia's products and services are still focused on the C2C segment demand and future opportunities, it is possible that elevenia will also expand its segment and target the B2B market.

"There is a plan that we will start targeting B2B but what will the implementation look like and when will we present it, wait for our next announcement," said Edward.

In the third and fourth quarters of 2017, elevenia claimed to have positive net income with a business transaction value of more than one trillion Rupiah from four million transactions. Currently, 93% of sellers on the elevenia platform come from individuals.

Elevenia said currently has 1,4 million active users who access it through the application.

“Our focus this year is to have a business for the long term by taking an approach that doesn't offer big discounts and promotions. These features still exist but are not given massively but are still focused on acquiring new users," concluded Edward.
