ehalal Presents E-Commerce Catalog of Malaysian and Indonesian Halal Products

Planning to provide certificates from MUI for partners who join ehalal

The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) has officially registered halal products made in Indonesia on the portal E-commerce from Malaysia halal. Different from Aladdin Streetmarketplace Malaysia, which was previously reported to be expanding to Indonesia, ehalal is a catalog containing a variety of halal products from Indonesia and Malaysia that can be sold. Later, all partners who join and have been verified will be registered in the ehalal portal with direct links to related sites.

Currently there are 12 E-commerce Malaysia is joining ehalal and offering a special channel on each site with a special selection of halal products. It is hoped that with direct support from Kadin, the seller online to E-commerce from Indonesia can join and sell halal products on the ehalal portal.

"It is recorded that halal products contribute about 11 percent of the total products in the world, around 67% are food and beverage products and 22% are pharmaceutical products to beauty products," said Deputy Chairperson of Kadin for Telematics, Broadcasting and Research and Technology Ilham Habibie to Asiaone.

In addition to displaying a complete list E-commerce which sells local and verified products, the plan is to increase product screening, ehalal will also cooperate with the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) and provide halal certificates to partners who join ehalal.

This was confirmed by the President Director of Malaysia's Halal Industry Development Corporation (HDC) Dato Seri Jamil Bidin:

"Later on, we will cooperate with MUI and carry out a product screening process by utilizing halal that has been owned by MUI to later become a product recommendation in halal."

So far, MUI is an institution that certifies all food, beverage, medicine and beauty products in Indonesia. With this certificate, it becomes a certainty that companies can use to sell products. In this case, ehalal will use the halal certificate and consumers can see directly the halal certificate that has been issued by the MUI on the halal product page.

In addition to products from Malaysia and Indonesia, Malaysia's Halal Industry Development Corporation (HDC) will later make business trips to other countries such as Thailand, Australia, Japan and Europe. In August and September, the trip was launched to increase the number of partners on the catalog portal E-commerce lawful.
