Drag n Drop Files in Gmail

The Chirp event organized by Twitter seems to have taken a lot of attention, be it user developers or startup players, including local ones. Hot news about the 'angry' of the developers with several developments made by Twitter, one of which is the acquisition of Tweetie, is one reason.

But some news about other applications turned out to be interesting enough to keep an eye on. One of them is from Google, after giving the 'invitation' feature which is an integration between Gmail and Google Calendar, and allows users to create Calendar events directly from Gmail, Google has added another feature to Gmail. New features launched Google This makes it easier for users to attach attachments by simply 'drag n drop'.

Usually when you attach a file, you click the 'attach a file' option under the email title tab, now with this new feature, when you have opened the file folder you want to attach, you just have to select the file you want then download it. drag it to Gmail, and point the file that is dragged to your Gmail page, it will appear a description of this feature. Navigate the file you drag to the bar that contains this notification, then the file will be attached immediately.

The next process is the same as when you do a standard attachment instead of the 'drag n drop' feature, wait until Gmail finishes the attachment process, this also passes if you attach the next file.

As mentioned by Google on their blog, this feature was launched to save time for users, especially those who have opened the file folder to be attached. This feature can only be enjoyed in the browser Google Chrome and Firefox 3.6 and for Mac users can even drag files from folders in the Dock. For other browsers, Google explained that they will enable this feature if the developers already support this 'drag n drop' feature in their browsers.

I've tried it on both Firefox and Chrome and everything works fine. Although this feature is a 'small' feature provided by Google in Gmail, it will make it easier and save the user's time in the attachment process.

How about you, have you tried this new feature? You can share your opinion in the comments column.
