Do not want to lose from Steam, Epic Store Adds Wishlist and OpenCritic Integration Features

And like Steam, in the future Epic Games will also modify the design of their service library.

This week has been an exciting time for Steam users because library updates the long awaited arrived for everyone. The UI that used to look solid is now more attractive, informative and concise. Steam also lets us collect games favorites to one place, making access simpler. You can see details about the new Steam library design HERE.

With Steam's new additions, there's a lot more for competitors to do to catch up with them. Since launching at the end of last year, the Epic Games Store has taken a number of aggressive steps: offering a greater share of profits to customers developer to make exclusive deals. Epic also continues to enrich capabilities platform distribution. Currently they are focusing on updating the design, adding functionality wishlist as well as integration to the OpenCritic site.

In the latest version of Epic Games Store, developer makeover storefront. You can immediately see trending titles as well asgame filters based on gender. The list of games is also divided by categories such as 'latest release', 'best selling', 'upcoming', 'on sale', 'hottest' and others. Furthermore, you can immediately see free games in the Free Game Every Week section.

In the future, Epic Games plans to add wishlist. The function is the same as wishlist on Steam, which is to notify you as soon as the desired game is on sale at a lower price. And don't want to lose to Steam, Epic has an agenda to update the appearance library. Later, grid view will be neater and denser. Currently, game images/posters still take up space. With collection game which is starting to multiply, many people can't help but take advantage of it list view.

For me, the most interesting aspect of Update The Epic Store is a developer effort to integrate OpenCritic services into their services. Operating more transparently than Metacritic, OpenCritic is an aggregate site review specifically video games. Going forward, you can immediately see the average score of a game based on reviews from the media. This feature is very unique because through it, Epic tries to compete with Metacritic score integration on Steam library (accessible via the Sort By menu).

All of this sounds promising, but to be honest, the Epic Games Store still has a lot of technical issues. This should be the main focus developer.

Sometimes, client software Epic Store is very slow to load images and information. Then I need to go through a fairly complex process to get the latest version of the Epic Store. Because client software never-Update, I downloaded the file installer from website and try deleting Epic Store first from Windows.

But the procedure is complicated because walk in background, and while still operating, app can not be deleted. Finally, I was forced to disable it via Task Manager. Only after that, a clean install can be performed. That too, the installation remains not trouble free. I got a message error when the software is doing Update and have to repeat several steps...
