Dimo's 2017 Business Plan and Online Transaction System Security

Dimo applies layered security according to the rules from Bank Indonesia

PT Dimo ​​Pay Indonesia (Dimo), a provider of mobile-based payment solutions, revealed its aggressive plan this year by increasing the number of companies issuer (source of funds) and develop the latest technology to be more in line with technological developments.

It is planned that in the first quarter of 2017, DIMO will add three parties issue new ones, namely Finnet, Bank DKI, and Paytren. Not only that, although it has not been officially announced, Dimo ​​is also in intensive discussion with Visa to embed Dimo's Pay By QR technology on the mVisa platform.

Visa launches mobile app mVisa in 2015 in India. In principle, mVisa's business model is the same as Dimo's. Payments can be made via the e-wallet application for online/offline shopping.

Currently Dimo ​​has collaborated with 18 issue including T-Money, Simobi, My Money, Doku, My Wallet, UniqueQu, and BRI Mobile.

"With Visa, there has been a technology agreement that there will be a single QR technology available in the mVisa application. Currently, the deal is just the business case, still looking for which bank to be involved. issue and acquirer," explained Director of Research & Development Dimo ​​Fitra Marga, Tuesday (31/1).

In another business plan, Dimo ​​is working on a new product that will later be specifically targeted at business players in Indonesia social commerce. According to Fitra, there is a great demand for players in this segment, considering that so far payment verification has been done manually.

Dimo will also launch various latest technologies to be more in line with the times. Most recently, Dimo ​​issued a Pay in App product. Users can pay online without leaving the mobile application.

When users shop online at e-commerce services, they can choose the Pay in App payment type from Dimo. Once clicked, the user will automatically be taken to a mobile application that has become a mobile application issue with Dimo.

Users simply scan the QR code with their smartphone and the goods will be ready to be delivered. One of the e-commerce players who have provided this service is Lazada.

Dimo will also add other product portfolios by launching an offline e-wallet. According to the plan, Dimo ​​will immediately meet with Bank Indonesia regarding the license. This offline e-wallet can only accommodate certain payments. Funds will be deducted automatically if the goods purchased are in accordance with the provisions.

"Later we will make an e-wallet that purely offline in a mobile application. Later we will discuss with BI [for the license]. The model, funds will be deducted automatically for certain payments, beyond that it needs to be online."

Along with this aggressive plan, Dimo ​​will also continue to educate various parties, from issue, consumers, and merchants to conduct transactions online cashless.

Dimo guarantees the security of online transactions

Fitra continued, every payment transaction that uses technology from Dimo ​​is guaranteed in accordance with regulations from Bank Indonesia as the payment system authority.

Every transaction requires a PIN or OTP (one-time password) which will be sent to the user. To identify a user, Dimo ​​will check via the ID of the user device them, then need to be authenticated by entering a PIN. In addition to the PIN, it also embeds a session, where for a certain period the user does not have to enter a PIN/OTP.

"Essentially, we want to balance user convenience by using Bank Indonesia's security standards."

To ensure the security of the Dimo ​​system, the company was officially audited by BI as of December 2016.
