IDCloudHost Acquires Dewabiz to Expand Market Share

Friday (03/4) service provider company hosting IDCloudHost announced its acquisition of Dewabiz. The company's action was carried out to strengthen the scope of the business, in order to capture opportunities from SMEs who are flocking to digitize.

After this acquisition, IDCloudHost Group currently has two subsidiaries, namely PT Awal Kilat Semesta which offers PaaS and Dewabiz products. Despite having identical products, IDCloudHost Co-Founder & CMO Muhammad Mufid Luthfi revealed that there will be no plans to unify IDCloudHost and Dewabiz services.

"IDCloudHost and Dewabiz have different customer segments. Dewabiz's main concentration is customers unlimited hosting, while IDCloudHost is not targeting that market. We will continue to monitor the market so that merging of services is not in our minds at this time," said Mufid.

Apart from acquisitions, Mufid also explained that his company will continue to intensify strategic partnerships with SMEs and startups to provide services and products that are in line with the current market. At the age of 4 years, IDCloudHost continues to strive to maximize the potential of local servers to serve various businesses in providing digital services.

About the plan PP revision 82 which is in the spotlight of the industry hosting Co-Founder & CEO of IDCloudHost Alfian explained, basically since the company was founded, it has indirectly competed with global players in the provision of cloud computing and infrastructure.

"Last year we expanded to data center Singapore with the legal name Cloud Host Pte Ltd, even now 60% of our users are using servers in Singapore compared to Indonesia," said Alfian.

Regarding the government's plan to revise PP82, Alfian added, "Currently data sovereignty is more important than anything else, the state must take part in maintaining the data properly."
