Dell Inaugurates Dell Engineers Club in Indonesia

Offers offline and online training to its members on storage, server, and networking materials

Dell Channel today officially opened the Dell Engineers Club in Indonesia. The Dell Engineers Club was established as a means to provide Dell partners with training and provide them with the opportunity to expand their network of fellow Dell partners.

Dell's move to make the Dell Engineers Club program is not the first time. Previously, Dell Channel launched the Dell Engineers Club in China for the first time in 2012 and the program has proven to be well received by Dell partners. So far, the Dell Engineers Club has more than 1000 members with Dell partners in several countries, such as China, India and Korea.

"Strategy channel Dell has been running steadily since we started the PartnerDirect program seven years ago. We are growing 3-4 times faster than the industry globally and we now have more than 4.300 certified partners, including Preferred and Premier partners,” said Ng Tian Beng, Managing Director for South Asia & Korea at Dell and Vice President Commercial Channel for the region. Tian Beng further explained that the inauguration of the Engineers Club in Indonesia is proof that Dell has a long-term commitment to partners and customers.

"We believe this initiative will enrich partners with the knowledge they need to help meet the various business needs of their customers," he added.

Dell Engineers Club itself is a program that offers various kinds of training either offline (face to face in the classroom) or online training with experts in their fields. Dell Engineers Club members will be given the freedom to choose training that is relevant to them which consists of three main topics, namely storage, serverand networking and some Dell Software technologies.

"This club is also a place for us to get input and suggestions from partners about various new products and our solutions," he explained.

The Dell Channel business accounts for no less than 40% of Dell's global revenue and two-thirds of Dell's revenue in the South Asia region.
