Daniel Tumiwa resigns from OLX Indonesia

Then became a Strategic Advisor in the same company

OLX Indonesia CEO Daniel Tumiwa announced his retirement as the leader of the leading online classifieds service in Indonesia. As of the end of May, Daniel will relinquish the position he has held since 2015. Next, Daniel will become the Strategic Advisor of OLX Indonesia, while the temporary leadership position of OLX Indonesia will be held by Robin Voogd, who is currently the CEO of OLX Asia.

Compared to when he first took office in 2015, it is stated that OLX Android application users have grown six times to reach 1,1 million daily active users (only for Android applications).

“OLX has become an inseparable part of the daily life of Indonesian people. The existence of OLX provides an opportunity for everyone to make mutually beneficial transactions. I am very proud to be a part of this journey,” said Daniel.

In the Indonesian e-commerce industry, Daniel plays a very important role in the development of the ecosystem. He served as the first Chairman of the Indonesian E-Commerce Association (idEA) and helped draft a number of government regulations related to ecosystems.

"I am very grateful to the entire OLX Indonesia team, who have worked hard to make OLX a classifieds platform that can continue to provide benefits for all users. I am sure, OLX Indonesia will continue to lead the online classifieds category, in Indonesia," he concluded.
