DailySocial Report: "User Experience" Survey for Mobile Applications 2018

Understanding how Indonesian consumers use apps

In application development mobile devices There are several stages that developers need to do, one of which is designing User Experience (UX). The output of UX design is to direct activities while surfing the application, starting from the registration process, using system functionality, to accessing help information.

In 2018, consumers smartphone in Indonesia is no longer in the early adoption stage. They are getting used to application-based services. When talking about UX, the question arises, what are the user's habits when accessing applications today? Answering the question, DailySocial in collaboration with JakPat Mobile Survey Platform held a survey entitled "Mobile App User Experience Survey 2018".

The survey involved 2092 user respondents smartphone throughout Indonesia. Some of the interesting findings include:

  • 35,71 percent of the total respondents are still comfortable with the manual application registration process using email.
  • 95,22 percent of the total respondents considered email verification when registering an application to be important for security.
  • 77,06 percent of the total respondents use and expect the availability of Indonesian for their daily use of applications.

In addition to the data findings above, there are other discussions that are summarized in the survey results, including screen usage preferences, comparisons of usage between mobile web and mobile app, habits when you want to find information in applications, to the most desirable help models.
