DailySocial.id Launches 2015 Startup Report

In 2014 we initiated DS10, a list of selected startups whose achievements and activities have graced the media coverage throughout the year. For 2015, we expanded the scope of our report by launching the "2015 Startup Report". This report contains the technology business landscape in 2015 and predictions of industry players in 2016. Not to forget we selected 10 startups, 10 founders, and 5 selected investors in the 10 DS2015 series.

DailySocial.id CEO Rama Mamuaya said, "With this report, we wanted to gather all the information out there, combined with the data we collected, to provide a macro perspective on the performance of the digital industry in Indonesia."

Some of the interesting points presented in this 60-page report include:

• 49% of investment reported in 2015 was SEED funding
• E-commerce still dominates investment, with fintech at #2
• East Ventures and Lippo Group lead with 20 and 7 publicly announced investments
• On-demand services and Financial Technology (Fintech) are prime targets for investors in 2016
• Lack of talent and access to funding is the biggest scourge of startups in 2016
